Here's Where You Can Get Kodak's Newest, Vibrant Film Camera

Film photography enthusiast or not, you might have seen these cute pops of color in the shape of a pocketable film camera from Kodak floating around the feed. If you intend to get one, you'll be glad to know that they'll be available here in the Philippines soon.

Just a few days ago, Kodak dropped an announcement regarding the release of its newest reusable 35mm film camera, the EC35. Excited as we are, we've been wondering when they will be available here in the country (or if we have to hop on a flight elsewhere to get our hands on them), but we don't have to guess anymore. We finally spotted the EC35 at Henry's Cameras, with a promise of them "coming soon" in their social media post.

There's a lot to love about the EC35. But first, how it looks, because of course that's what lures folks in. This beginner-friendly, point-and-shoot camera is available in seven colorways: white, black, yellow, and soft pastels like pink, blue, violet, and green. Looking at them just brings out the good vibes, and hopefully, the good memories, too. It also boasts a compact, pocketable size, which makes it feel as light as it looks.

A feature we love about the EC35 is its built-in lens cover. It can be a pretty small thing to some, but for those who worry about the lens getting scratched while inside their bags as they go out and about, it can be a huge relief. An extra layer of protection, if you will.

Everyone and their mothers can easily operate the EC35. There's no need to adjust focus and all that; all you have to do is point and shoot. It is already equipped with a 25mm wide-angle lens, fixed f/10 aperture, and 1/100s shutter speed. There's also a built-in flash you can switch on and off, with a little light indication so you know if it's on or off. The camera is powered by a single AA battery.

As of this writing, there's no launch date or price for the EC35 here in the Philippines just yet. But rest assured that we're keeping an eye out for you at Henry's Cameras. The EC35 is said to be priced at $34.99 (approximately P2,154.49 in Philippine pesos) for the camera alone, and $44.99 (P2,770.24) if you want it with a strap and roll of film.
