ICMYI: Uniqlo Has Reopened Its BGC Branch With More Floors + Services

(SPOT.ph) If you’re a Uniqlo fan, you know the BGC High Street branch closed their doors earlier this year for some reno work. While the Japanese lifewear brand has many branches dotted across the Metro, the BGC branch boasted not just a complete collection of the brand’s pieces but also ample browsing space that made shopping all the more enjoyable. Right in time for Christmas shopping, the BGC branch of Uniqlo has reopened—this time bigger and better.

The reopened Uniqlo BGC High Street branch sits on the corner of 30th Street and 7th Street and takes up multiple floors offering the latest in wardrobe staples, new silhouettes, seasonal releases, and character and brand collabs. The biggest upgrade is the additional floor at the very top where shoppers can have their tees and other Uniqlo apparel customized and modified.

It’s the brand’s biggest store opening this year so expect the shelves and racks to be fully packed with everything you can think of. For those perfecting their capsule wardrobe, Uniqlo’s essentials and classics can’t be skipped. Office and corporate soldiers are sure to find their new go-to piece at the branch, while those travelling to cooler destinations this Christmas should stock up on HEATTECH pieces. Of course, the kids in your life also deserve their own section.

Recently opened Uniqlo branches like the Greenhills one launched a special UTme! collection featuring designs and artists from the city’s community and culture. The BGC one is no different. The mini-city is home to plenty of murals and pockets of art—a welcome break from the skyscrapers and concrete—and Uniqlo is shining the light on the artists and collectives that have breathed life to the community’s local art scene.

The Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. art program’s mission is to infuse everyday experiences with creative art that transforms the public perception of space. It focuses on the evocative nature of the visual and performing arts. Some of the work from their collection include Trust Your Wins by AC Bautista located at Two Parkade, Lane P, Dalagang Pilipina by Ang Gerilya at 28th Street, Maybank Corporate Centre, and Perfectly Baked by Avin Doodles at 7th Avenue. These three pieces are available on shirts and totes, so you can wear or bring the art wherever you go.

Artist Avin Doodles’ work also appears on Uniqlo’s shirts and tees. The mural artist is known for her vibrant and playful pieces that transform urban landscapes into immersive visual stories. Her art is a celebration of color, creativity and the ever-evolving relationship between nature and urban life. Her murals entitled As The Cat Sleeps on Track 30th, Paws and Glaze at Tera 28th Park, and Coffee Machine which is spotted beside Maybank 7th Ave color BGC’s street. She has several designs available on Uniqlo shirts and totes which feature dogs and cats.

Illustrator, portrait artist, mural artist, and art educator Jasmin Lacay teaches Visual Arts to Senior High School students while continuing to create artworks that blend creativity and community. Her works in BGC include Save The Planet along 11th Avenue, East Gallery and Greener St. at C3 Parking, Bonifacio High Street Central, 30th Street. Jasmin’s designs on Uniqlo’s apparel star folks in their running era or doing a montage of fitness activities like rowing, biking, yoga, boxing, and lifting–one of them features a furry friend, too!

All the designs are available on the unisex UTme Short Sleeve T-Shirt which retails for P990 and the Kids UTme Short Sleeve T-Shirt which retails for P590. Fancy bags more than shirts? Designs are also printed on the UTme Tote Bag which retails for P990 and the UTme Mini Tote Bag which is priced at P790.

Uniqlo is also empowering their customers to their part for our planet. Got old Uniqlo items lying around that you don’t use anymore? You can drop them off at the RE.UNIQLO box at the top floor or ask their staff.

Just in case your Uniqlo apparel has holes or rips that you think can still be covered up, RE.UNIQLO Studio also offers exclusive embroidery designs at Uniqlo BGC High Street. The store has two designs inspired by the Cats of BGC: one saying adopt me, while the other features a group of three cats sharing a bowl of food. The Barkada Tails designs, which also features a trio of cats and one playing with a fish, are also available in the BGC branch, but these ones aren’t exclusive as they are also offered in the Manila Flagship store.

RE.UNIQLO and UTme! are both located at the top floor, so you can go to town with all the Uniqlo customizations. Send in your own images, get creative with the in-app paint tool, type your own message to express yourself on a shirt, and even choose from Uniqlo’s character album. Shirts for adults are P990, kids for P590, standard tote bags for P990, and the mini tote bag is priced at P790.
