Beloved Greenhills Spots Shine in Uniqlo's Latest Store Opening

(SPOT.ph) Japanese lifewear brand Uniqlo has found itself in the closets of many Filipinos. With its reliable wardrobe staples and elevated basics that can fit any season, it's easy to understand why people just can't get enough of their apparel and accessories. Uniqlo fan or not, it's always a treat visiting a store and there's a new one that's just popped up in the Metro: There's now a branch in Greenhills and they dropped a collection paying homage to the neighborhood's beloved joints.

Two floors make up Uniqlo's 80th branch in the Philippines containing the staples and classics Filipino shoppers have come to love over the years. Jeans and pants in different washes and colorways line the store's walls, with versatile tops and outwear taking space on the shelves. Of course, the store's mannequins are decked in the latest collections, inspiring new OOTD configurations amongst buyers and passers-by. Rain or shine, there's a Uniqlo piece that can keep you comfy and stylish.

It wouldn't be Uniqlo without the ever-reliable HEATTECH pieces that warm the country's tropical population during their trips abroad during autumn or winter. The turtlenecks, leggings, and undergarments are present, along with socks and gloves. There are also regular undergarments, intimates, socks, and sleepwear. As always, they're available in a variety of sizes, shades, and designs.

Uniqlo's collaboration with creatives, brands, and lifestyle icons are also present in the UT section. From anime franchises like SPY x FAMILY, One Piece, and Pokemon, to the charming characters of Studio Ghibli, Sanrio, or Disney there's something here for everyone.

On paper, the Greenhills branch seems like any other Uniqlo store, but the magic is really on the second floor. Go up the escalator and the entire sidewall is a map of the Greenhills neighborhood, dotted with marks to indicate the joints that have come to represent and nurture the community.

On the second floor, you'll spot the UTme! collab with the Greenhills community spots. They have their own corner where the designs are hung and displayed side by side. All the designs are available on a shirt for adults, a shirt for kids, a canvas tote bag, and a mini canvas tote bag.

The first design is nod to the Greenhills of decades past. Uniqlo now stands in the spot where the old Greenhills Shopping Center used to be and the green vintage-style illustration is an homage to the location's history.

Online flower shop Peony Lane came to be during the pandemic and focused on minimalist, natural floral arrangements. They've since blossomed beyond the online space and now how community pop-ups and hands-on workshops.

Chef-driven smash burger joint Bun Run serves up high-quality beef, freshly baked buns, and house-made sauces in San Juan.

For trusty sandwiches that fill you up, 717 Deli is the place to hit up. They serve up their take on classics from around the world and have strong focus on building up the community with every stack of bread and filling.

Singaporean go-to comfort dishes can be found at Hainan Guy—think flavorful and tender Hainanese Chicken Rice, rich and hearty Laksa, and the coconutty sweetness and crunch of a good Kaya toast.

Throwing mud on the wheel is not just a hobby, it brings together like-minded people to unleash their creativity and welcome the future's possibilities. Pottery studio Studio Matisse hosts more than just workshops—they're also a safe space to release your inhibitions.

And last, but definitely not the least: Chocfull of Nuts. The OG Greenhills spot has been warming hearts and tummies since 1974 with their dimsum and pastries, going on to feed several generations of both locals and visitors from outside the city. If you know, you know. And if you don't just yet, you have to drop by.
