(SPOT.ph) Something interesting is always happening in Escolta, and this November, the historic street is once again putting its creative community in the spotlight.

Hola, Escolta! returns to the First United Building on Saturday, November 21, with pop-ups, exhibitions, workshops, and live music across all six floors. Think of it as the ultimate weekend art crawl, where you can discover local creatives, stock up on unique holiday gifts, and experience downtown Manila’s bold art scene.

NGL, this event is already bookmarked in our book, but if you're still on the fence about adding this to your social calendar, here's us making a case for Hola Escolta! 2026.

The days when Escolta was the bustling commercial heart of Manila may be long gone, but the “Queen of Manila’s Streets” continues to find new life as a cultural hub. Local artists and creatives keep the district buzzing, and Hola, Escolta! brings the community together for an annual gathering of art, culture, and collaboration.

For one full day, the entire First United Building (FUB) will turn into a massive creative playground. All six floors will be activated, with pop-ups, exhibitions, workshops, and performances filling spaces in the beautiful Art Deco building. Creative studios and workspaces normally closed to the public will also open their doors, giving everyone a glimpse of the people and projects that keep Escolta alive.

But the festivities aren't confined to the FUB alone. Outside, Escolta Street will be closed to traffic for the day, giving way to pedestrians, local artists, and independent merchants. It’s a great opportunity to experience the historic street, whether you’re browsing stalls or taking in the old-world architecture, colorful storefronts, and unmistakable downtown Manila vibe.

As the day winds down, the festivities turn the spotlight on music, performances, and a few surprises. The block party is a fitting way to cap off the day full of local art, heritage, and downtown pride. And since it’s a Saturday, you can take your time and linger well into the evening.

The full schedule of performances and participating merchants hasn't been released yet, but we'll keep an eye out. Regardless of who's on the guest list, though, Hola Escolta! is always a massive hit—just take a look at the previous runs!

Organized by the First United Building in collaboration with Kalye Escolta, Project Lemons, HUB:Make Lab, Magpatina, and One Zero Design Co., Hola, Escolta! celebrates a creative community that’s “of the streets and for the streets.” Entry is free; everyone is invited.
