New Flight Alert: More Direct Flights to Da Nang and Hanoi Vietnam Are Coming Soon

(SPOT.ph) Vietnam has been on a roll. Lately, the ASEAN favorite has been all over Filipino TikTok and Instagram feeds—and airlines are finally catching up. Case in point: AirAsia just announced new direct flights to two of Vietnam’s buzziest cities right now, Hanoi and Da Nang.

Here's what you need to know about these new flights to Vietnam.

Starting March 20, AirAsia will now fly direct to two of Vietnam's most popular destinations: Hanoi and Da Nang. Flights will be four times a week to both destinations, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with afternoon-to-evening departures from Manila.

While AirAsia isn’t the first—or the only—airline to fly these routes from the Philippines (Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines already do), its entry still gives travelers more ways to get to two of Vietnam’s biggest crowd-pleasers: the laid-back beach city of Da Nang and the French-tinged capital, Hanoi.

If you want to be one of the first folks to experience the AirAsia treatment to these spots, the budget airline has a special inaugural seat sale to sweeten the deal. Book from today until February 1, and get introductory one-way base fares to either Hanoi or Da Nang starting at just P888. Seats included in this seat sale are valid for travel from March 20 to October 25, 2026, perfect for experiencing a Vietnamese summer or the cooler months in October.

While the sale period may appear to be long, we urge you to book as soon as you can. There are only 13,855 seats on sale, so if you want bang for your buck deals on flights, get the gang on board or nail your solo plans ASAP. Otherwise, you're going to have to wait for discounted fares all over again. A quick check on the AirAsia website shows that regular-priced fares to Da Nang can go as high as P4,000 one-way, so this P888 fare is totally a steal.

Meanwhile, regular-priced flights to Hanoi are slightly more expensive at P4,700 one way while returning flights can go as high as P6,000. So if you were planning to visit spots like the Old French Quarter, Train Street, and other quaint and cozy spots in the mountainous Hanoi, you'd definitely want to take advantage of AirAsia's P888 introductory promo, stat!

Da Nang is a coastal city in Central Vietnam. It's known for its white-sand beaches and its close proximity to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Imperial City of Hue, the Old Town of Hoi An (which is TikTok-famous for getting bang for your buck custom clothing), and the My Son ruins.

When in Da Nang, make sure to hit up My Khe Beach for its long stretch of white sand shorelines and crystal clear waters, the Marble Mountains for panoramic views of the city and coastline, and Bana Hills for the social media photo spot, The Golden Bridge.

While Da Nang is a coastal city, Hanoi is landlocked, but it doesn't make it any less charming. Hanoi is known as the "Paris of the East" for its tree-lined boulevards and French colonial-era buildings.

Most tourist destinations are split up between the Old Quarter and the French Quarter. If you want to see a European-inspired area home to wide boulevards, pastel-colored facades, and colonial buildings, the French Quarter is the place for you.
