PSA: South Korea Visa Processing Fees to Increase Starting This August
A small adjustment for your upcoming trip to Seoul.

(SPOT.ph) If you’re the kind of traveler who counts expenses down to the last peso, it’s best to adjust your budget a bit for your next South Korea trip. The Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) just announced that its visa application fee will increase from P900 to P1,000 starting Tuesday, August 25.
Here is what travelers need to know about the upcoming rate adjustment.
South Korea visa application fee adjustment
The P100 increase applies to all visa applications submitted to KVAC on or after August 25, 2026. Currently, the visa processing fee stands at P900 per application, but filings processed from the cutoff date onward will carry the new P1,000 fee.
To be clear, this charge is strictly the center’s processing fee. Short-term tourist visas (up to 59 days) issued by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea remain technically free. However, every applicant must pay KVAC’s service fee for their documents to be processed. As always, payments at the center must be in cash, so make sure to bring exact bills during your visit.
How and where to submit your visa application for a South Korea visa
Hoping to beat the price hike? There’s still time to apply. Just make sure to submit your requirements for processing before August 25 to avail of the current P900 rate.
You can submit your documents directly at the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC). The center accepts walk-in applications, so you won’t even have to book an online appointment to rush requirements in.
