Les Misérables is back, not in its usual musical staging but as the Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular, happening at The Theatre at Solaire in from January 20 to March 1, 2026.

Unlike the usual full-production stagings, Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular is a hybrid production designed for larger venues and fitted with enhanced set and lighting designs similar to a concert experience. It still keeps the original story and music intact, just packaged with a bit of extra pomp and flair. 

This Les Mis World Tour—originally titled as Les Misérables: Arena Spectacular—reimagines and expands the Les Misérables: The Staged Concert by bringing with it a slew of over 100 international and Filipino talent, performing Boublil and Schönberg’s score and iconic songs, including I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, One Day More, and more.

Rewind to the 80s, because the iconic Viva Films teen flick from 1984 is getting its own stage musical adaptation.

Bagets is about the lives and loves, families and friendships, adventures and misadventures of five young boys during their senior year in high school. There’s boy next door Adie, "overstaying" high schooler Tonton, geeky Gilbert, martial arts buff Toffee, and rich guy Arnel.

Working on Bagets are PETA stalwarts — director Maribel Legarda (Rak of Aegis, Care Divas), playwright Jmee Katanyag (Maria Clara at Ibarra), and musical director Vince Lim (Walang Aray). It stars two sets of rotating cast members featuring Noel Comia Jr. and Tomas Rodriguez as Gilbert, Milo Cruz and Migo Valid as Tonton, Ethan David and KD Estrada as Arnel, Jeff Moses and Sam Shoaf as Topee, and Mico Hendrix Chua and Andres Muhlach as Adie.

Spring Awakening is a musical that explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood, set to an electrifying contemporary and alternative rock score.

Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical follows a group of teens trying to make sense of their sexuality, the nature of desires, and all the other grunge of growing up. But at a time when conversations about the birds and the bees are all but taboo, finding the answers is easier said than done.

Playing the leads for Spring Awakening are Alex Diaz and Nacho Tambunting, Sheena Belarmino, Omar Uddin, Nic Chien, among others.

From the folks behind Anino Sa Likod Ng Buwan—IdeaFirst Live!—comes another play strictly for mature audiences. About Us But Not About Us is the stage adaptation of the award-winning 2023 Jun Robles Lana film of the same title. This intense psychological drama zeroes in on a tense, emotionally loaded lunch between Eric, a literature professor, and Lancelot, his student, months after the suicide of Eric’s partner, Marcus. What begins as a seemingly casual meet-up slowly unravels into a web of dark secrets and buried lies, revealing the complicated—and often painful—history between the three men. As their conversation unfolds, the play digs into guilt, ambition, and identity, drawing the audience deeper into the chilling truth behind Marcus’s death.

It stars Romnick Sarmenta, Elijah Canlas, Epy Quizon, Andoy Ranay, Herbie Go, Geraldine Villamil, Jack Denzel Gaza, Noel Rayos, and Jao Catarus, and is directed by Tuxqs Rutaquio.

anthropology, a contemporary sci-fi, psychological thriller play that merges technology with the deep ache of family grief. The play centers on Merril, a brilliant AI programmer who refuses to accept the disappearance and death of her sister, Angie. Using her expertise, she recreates Angie using artificial intelligence—sound familiar? But what starts out as a simple coping mechanism turns into an obsession with a digital ghost of a dearly departed.

Barefoot Theatre Collaborative's anthropology stars an all-female cast led by Jenny Jamora as Merril and Maronne Cruz as her sister Angie. Joining them are Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante as Raquel, Merril’s ex-girlfriend and the voice of reason, and Jackie Lou Blanco as Brin, Merril and Angie’s estranged mother.

Originally staged in 2015, Mabining Mandirigma follows the life of Apolinario Mabini, the brains of the Philippine Revolution. This steampunk musical highlights how Mabini, through his intellect and principles, called on Filipinos to rise above class, religion, and self-interest in the spirit of nation-building.

This 2026 intimate staging stars Shaira Opsimar as Apolinario Mabini, Arman Ferrer and David Ezra as Emilio Aguinaldo, Tex Ordonez-De Leon as Dionisia, and MC Dela Cruz and Roby Malubay as Illustrados, together with the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company. It is directed by Chris Millado with music by Joed Balsamo, book by Nicanor Tiongson.

Ballet Manila brings to the stage an all-original choreography of Sleeping Beauty by none other than the Philippines' Prima Ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. This staging brings to life a lush retelling of Princess Aurora’s story set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty, Op. 66, which will be performed by the Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Russian conductor, Maestro Alexander Vikulov.

A Chorus Line follows 17 performers as they endure an intense audition process for eight coveted spots in a Broadway chorus. The show depicts the raw and real trials and triumphs of Broadway's unsung heroes, highlighting their stories of ambition, disappointment, and perseverance.

Originally staged in 1975, this musical is a classic in American theater. In 1976, it won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama— one of the very few musicals in history to ever do so — and swept the Tony Awards with wins for Best Musical, Best Book (James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante), Best Original Score (Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban), Best Direction (Michael Bennett), and Best Choreography (Michael Bennett and Bob Avian).

For its 2026 run in Manila, Theater Group Asia is bringing A Chorus Line to life under the helm of Emmy Award-winning Fil-Am choreographer Karla Puno-Garcia. It stars a slew of Filipino and Filipino-American talents, including Conrad Ricamora, Lissa de Guzman, Renee Albulario, Angelo Soriano, Michaela Marfori, Jordan Andrews, Rapah Manalo, Ken San Jose, Stephen Vinas, Mikaela Regis, Iya Villanueva, Universe Ramos, Richardson Yadao, Julio Laforteza, Brie Chappell, Sam Libao, Alyanna Wijangco, Jessica Carmona, Luca Olbes, Jim Ferrer, Winchester Lopez, Rofe Villarino, Lord Kristofer Logmao, Paulina Luzuriaga, Anna del Prado, Vince Denzel Sarra, Franco Ramos, and Anyah de Guzman.

REP Unplugged: Staged Readings Reimagined kicks off Repertory Philippines' 89th season with two beloved classic comedies. Noel Coward's Private Lives, directed by REP’s Artistic Director Jeremy Domingo, and Anton Chekhov's The Proposal, directed by Cara Barredo, are set to deliver raw, hilarious performances for audiences.

The Witcher in Concert: Experience the Music of the Continent is a special symphonic live concert featuring music and key scenes from the hit video game The Witcher 3, which follows the story of Geralt of Rivia as he embarks on a quest to find his adopted daughter Ciri, the Child of Destiny, before the Wild Hunt claims her power. It will be performed live by select musicians from the Filharmonika Orchestra alongside Percival Schuttenbach, the Polish folk metal band, and co-composers of the game’s acclaimed soundtrack.

Formed in 2005, Japanese band ONE OK ROCK consisting of vocalist Takahiro Moriuchi, guitarist Toru Yamashita, bassist Ryota Kohama, and drummer Tomoya Kanki are embarking on their Detox Asia Tour with a stop in Manila. Their latest tour features tracks from their newest Detox album like "Puppets Can't Control You" and "NASTY", mixed with their classics liks "The Beginning", "We Are", and "Wherever you are".

Eight-member South Korean boygroup ATEEZ is back in the Philippines for their In Your Fantasy tour stop in Manila. Of course, we expect a live performance of their latest title track, "In Your Fantasy", along with their hits like "Bouncy," "Ice on My Teeth", and "Work". It's been a while, but we're also hoping Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho think of maybe performing "The Real" because it's free to dream.

Japanese-Korean boy group NCT Wish is embarking on their first concert tour titled INTO THE WISH : Our WISH and the Philippines is on the map. Members Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya are rocking the New Frontier Theater stage for a one-night-only show. It might not be their first time performing for Filipino fans, but it will be a treat to see how much they've grown as artists in a year!

South Korean boygroup Seventeen is back in Bulacan for their New_ World Tour. We're missing Wonwoo, Hoshi, Jeongha, and Woozi, but we're sure the group will still mount explosive performances of "Rock With You", "Hot", and "Thunder" that Carats will talk about long after the concert has ended. There are also the solo member performances to look forward to, of course!

South Korean soloist Kino of Pentagon fame has struck out on his own and is taking the stage in Manila this March for his FREE KINO Tour. The singer is also a great dancer and choreogrpaher, so we can't wait to see how he'll inject twists to his live performances of songs like "POSE" and "DIRTY BOY".
