Final Stretch of CAVITEX Link From Sucat to C5 Now Comes With Toll

(SPOT.ph) For about a month, motorists were able to use the final stretch of the CAVITEX C5 Link for free—the missing piece that made the Sucat-to-C5 route fully connected. Starting May 5, 2026, that segment will now be tolled.

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has given the go signal for toll collection on Segment 3B, while earlier sections of the C5 Link have long been subject to toll charges. For trips between Sucat and C5, motorists will now pay the combined Segment 3A and 3B rates: P59 for Class 1 vehicles (cars, jeeps, vans), P117 for Class 2 (buses, light trucks), and P176 for Class 3 (heavy trucks).

The two-kilometer Segment 3B connects the R-1 Expressway (Coastal Road), Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Sucat, and C.P. Garcia Avenue (C5), cutting travel time between Parañaque and Taguig to around 15 minutes from what used to take up to an hour and a half.

Operators waived toll for the initial rollout partly to help motorists during the Holy Week rush. Since opening on March 30, Segment 3B has been used by around 9,000 motorists daily, according to TRB.

Longer trips—like Taguig to Roxas Boulevard or Zapote via the same link—come at higher rates. That’s because you’re no longer just using the Cavitex C5 Link between C5 and Sucat. Once you go past Dr. A. Santos Avenue, the road feeds straight into the main Manila-Cavite Expressway, with tolls varying depending on distance.

Take note that all toll gates along CAVITEX have fully transitioned to 100% RFID payments since September 14, 2024, so make sure your Easytrip RFID has enough load before passing through.
