Promo mechanics

• The “Up to P5,000 Shopping Cashback” (“Promo”) is open to all Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers of BDO American Express® Cards including Virtual Cards. Account (single and dual currency accounts) must be active and of good credit standing (i.e., no past due) within the Promo Period and at the time of Cashback posting.

• The Promo will run from February 1 to March 31, 2026 (“Promo Period”). All transactions must be made within the Promo Period to avail of the Offer.

• Offer: Get up to P5,000 Cashback on shopping for a minimum single-receipt or cumulative spend of P50,000 within the Promo Period.

• Minimum Cumulative Spend* and cashback:

  • P50,000: P2,500

  • P100,000: P5,000

• P2,000 minimum amount required per transaction

• To qualify, the Cardmember must meet the following criteria:

  • Enroll the Promo ID received via BDO Deals Viber/SMS and/or email:

  • Use qualified BDO American Express® Card at RETAIL SHOPS1 and DEPARTMENT STORES:

    • In-store spend (local/overseas)

    • Dip, Tap or Scan to Pay via BDO Pay using a Qualified Card

    • BUY NOW PAY LATER purchases (principal amount only)

    • Cumulative spend amount must be at least P50,000 with a minimum of P2,000 per transaction

      • Stores such as but not limited to clothing/apparel, shoes, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, toys, appliances, equipment (i.e. office, computer, electronics), books, stationeries, hardware, pet shops and the like, excluding gas, restaurants, healthcare services (i.e. optical shops, diagnostic center) and other categories not mentioned in item 4b.

    • BDO has the sole discretion to determine whether a transaction is classified as qualified. To identify qualified transactions, BDO is dependent on the Merchant Category Code “MCCs” assigned by the Acquiring Bank for each store.

• Earning of Cashback

  • The maximum Cashback entitlement per Cardmember is P5,000 regardless if he/she has more than one Qualified Card.

  • For Cardmembers with multiple Qualified Cards:

    • Purchases must come from one card only. Transactions from various Cards cannot be combined

    • Cashback will be awarded to the Card with the highest spend

  • In computing for the total qualified spend amount:

    • The Basic Card is treated separately from his/her Supplementary Card/s. The transactions of the Basic Card cannot be combined with the transactions of the Supplementary Card

    • Transactions using a Virtual Card will be combined with the transactions of the main card

  • For Cardmembers enrolled in the Dual Currency feature, the spend amount will be computed based on the actual Peso or US Dollar value reflected on the Statement of Account. If Cardmember has qualified spend in both currencies, the Dollar spend will be converted to Peso using USD 1 = PHP 58 conversion rate. The resulting amount will then be added to the total qualified Peso transactions to determine total spend.

• Crediting of Cashback

  • Cashback will be credited to the Basic Cardmember’s account on or before May 12, 2026.

  • Cashback will be awarded in Philippine Peso except for Cardmembers of The Platinum Card® by American Express and American Express® Gold Card who will receive their Cashback in USD using conversion rate: USD 1= PHP 58.

  • Cashback earned by the Supplementary Cardmember will be posted to the Basic Cardmember’s account.

  • Qualified Cardmembers will receive an SMS upon successful posting of Cashback earned and will appear on the succeeding Statement of Account (SOA) with transaction description “Amex 2026 Shopping Cashback”.

• Cardmember understands that by joining the Promo, transaction/s must not be used to redeem from other American Express and BDO Credit Card promos such as but not limited to Spend Anywhere, Online Deals (e.g. Lazada, etc.), SM 3-Day Sale, Credit Card Activation Programs, and other discount promos. By choosing to redeem other offers before the Cashback awarding, Cardmember understands that these transactions will no longer be qualified under this Promo.

• How to register:

  • The Cardholder must register and create an account on the UnionBank Treats Hub during the Promo Period.   • Upon accessing the Treats Hub, the Cardholder must input their unique registration code, last four (4) digits of their UnionBank credit card, a valid email address, and a valid mobile number to successfully register. Cardholders who successfully registered will receive an email confirmation containing their registration details at the email address they used to register for the Treats Hub.

  • After successfully registering for the Treats Hub, Cardholders must then CLICK “JOIN” on the promos that they are qualified for – as presented on their respective Treats Hub accounts. Only Cardholders who successfully registered (where the registration code entered matches the correct last four (4) digits of their UnionBank credit card) AND clicked “JOIN” on the Rustan’s Holiday Treats for U promo will qualify to accumulate all their transactions made during the Promo Period. Cardholders can click “JOIN" at ANY TIME within the Promo Period and all transactions made during the Promo Period will count towards the Cardholders’ cumulative spend.

  • UnionBank will not be able to change, reset, or alter any registration information once these are submitted by the cardholder to the UnionBank Treats Hub website. The Cardholder shall be responsible for the safekeeping of his/her registration information.

  • Registered Cardholders will start to earn the corresponding Rustan’s eGift/s for qualified and posted retail purchases done within the Promo Period AFTER registering for the Treats Hub. Registered Cardholders may only earn the eGift/s from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026.

• By registering for the Promo, the Cardholder:

  • is responsible for and voluntarily providing / consenting to provide his/her personal information and other information that may be required by Giftaway, the third party managing the site for UnionBank, and agrees that any information provided in the Promo website will be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of Giftaway.

  • agrees to receive SMS/text messages or e-mails in relation to the Promo, such as but not limited to SMS or e-mails confirming the earning of eGift/s upon completion of qualified purchases.

• Earned eGift/s during the Promo Period can be claimed through Giftaway, via the Treats Hub, as provided via SMS and/or EDM, during the allotted Redemption Period from March 31 to April 30, 2026.

  • How to redeem the Rustan’s eGift:

    • The Principal Cardholder must access the Treats Hub link sent to their registered SMS and/or email with their own unique registration code and last four (4) digits of their active UnionBank Credit Card.

    • The Cardholder will be redirected to the UnionBank Treats Hub microsite.

    • The Cardholder will select the Rustan’s eGift.

    • To use the eGift, the code must be presented to the Rustan’s Customer Service Counter for validation. The Cardholder must only give this once he/she is ready to use it at the store.

    • The Customer Service Counter will provide the Cardholder with a printed copy of the validated eGift Voucher Code/s from Giftaway, which will need to be presented at the cashier upon payment WITHIN THE DAY.

    • The Cardholder can use the eGift value at Rustan’s Department Store brands only. The offer is not valid on purchases from Stores Specialists, Inc. and Rustan’s Flower Shop, or for Gift Cards and paper GCs.

  • All terms and conditions relating to the eGift Voucher Code/s as indicated in the Giftaway website shall apply.
