(SPOT.ph) A banana ketchup-inspired lip gloss, chicken and adobo oil lip oils, taho lip balms—these are just some of the whimsical, very nostalgic, and very Filipino makeup products that one will find at Filipinta Beauty. It's a U.S.-based cosmetics brand that celebrates our colorful culture through equally vibrant and maximalist lippies, balms, eyeshadow palettes, and so much more. For the longest time, those based in the Philippines could only shop them online.

Based on their recent posts, they're currently here in the Philippines, and now you can see and buy their catalog in person at an upcoming pop-up in Diliman, Quezon City, this month. Here's everything we know so far.

Filipinta Beauty is holding a one-day pop-up here in the PH.

For the uninitiated, Filipinta (then called Pinta Cosmetics) wasn't a real brand at first—it was a design portfolio by packaging designer Hana Acabado-Kirchhoff and a way to heal her homesickness after moving to New York. After the designs took off (as they almost always do), Acabado-Kirchhoff turned it into a real business.

For the past few months, they've been testing the waters here again through online orders. But on October 24, those who have been wanting to see and test their fun, unique makeup products in person can now do so through their pop-up at fellow Filipino artist Geloy Concepcion's Bad Days Are Temporary Studio in Diliman, Quezon City.

Their pop-up will have all their available products up for grabs—until supplies last, of course—so better set your alarms and head over ASAP if you want to get your hands on a lip oil that smells like your favorite chicken oil, or a lip balm that looks just like your childhood candy, Haw Flakes, and so many more fun and nostalgic cosmetics.

They also recently released a Philippine-exclusive collection of cheek and lip tints inspired by old Pinoy movies like Shake Rattle and Roll and Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara, among other classic films, just in time for the scary Halloween season.
