Onitsuka Tiger's New Ballet Sneaker Colorways Are Totally Magnetic

(SPOT.ph) There's no doubt that ballet sneakerstook over 2025. Yes, past tense because we're in a new year now, in case you can't believe it yet. But despite the years changing, it seems that the trend is here to stay (which also means your wallet is not free from all the potential spending...). Even Onitsuka Tiger is not yet done with releasing new colorways of their own version, the Mexico 66 TGRS. They have new, vibrant metallic hues that you just have to get, including a red one that's sure to have people looking.

No judgement here if your first investment in 2026 is a pair of good ballet sneakers—ones that doesn't just have you comfortably walking miles on your next trip abroad this year, but also have you turning heads whatever room you walk into. The Onitsuka Tiger TGRS does a stellar job at both, especially now with four metallic colorways.

The new Mexico 66 TGRS lineup features white, black, pink, and, most notably, vibrant red in a shiny, metallic finish. You should see the way it glints under light with each step. They're absolutely mesmerizing—and will all be available starting on the third week of January, so you better keep an eye out if you want to cop a pair of your own.

The pair, as you well know, combines the daintiness of the classic ballet flats with the comfort and utility of the sneaker. The Mexico 66 TGRS has scalloped straps over the wide upper opening, and, of course, scalloped Onitsuka Tiger stripes on the side. Sans the metallic black colorway, all stripes are in white, making it stand out from the bold canvas.

The new colorways of the Mexico 66 TGRS are not available in the Philippines yet, but they will be out starting from the third week of January at Onitsuka Tiger stores nationwide. There are no prices yet for the new colorways, or if they will change from the OG lineup, but the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 TGRS retailed at P10,400 when they first dropped in Manila last year.
