(SPOT.ph) If you’ve already maxed out your usual Car-Free Sunday routine of jogging, biking, or leisurely walks down Ayala Avenue, here’s a new reason to lace up: the weekend program just added more ways to move.
Ayala Land and Make It Makati are adding two new court activations to Car-Free Sundays. There are now courts to rally, shoot, and play, making it easier to sneak in a little fun while you’re breaking a sweat along the 2.3-kilometer stretch. Check out the new Sunday activities you could add to your calendar when you go to Ayala Car-Free Sundays.
Here's what to expect on Car-Free Sundays at Ayala moving forward:
Pickleball has officially joined the Car-Free Sunday lineup, giving weekend regulars a new, social way to break a sweat. Every Sunday, two pickleball courts will be set up in the area: one at the courtyard of the Ayala Triangle and another at Paseo de Roxas in front of Tower 2.
Here, pickleballers can hit the court, practice their swing, and meet other players—maybe even form a Sunday Pickleball club? To secure a slot, watch for the monthly registration announcements—usually late in the previous month or early in the current one—and sign up right away. Slots are limited, so if you're looking for some free play on the weekends, act fast when the forms are out. The courts are free to use at least until the end of 2025.

Alongside pickleball, Car-Free Sundays will also soon have 3x3 basketball courts on site. Though unlike the pickleball courts, the basketball activations won't be around every week. Schedules for when you can shoot some hoops will be announced on a case-to-case basis. Our pro-tip: always check the Make It Makati page for any announcements.

"We’re widening the menu of movement—from running and cycling to court sports—so people
of different ages and fitness levels can find their fit," says Misha Quimpo, Project Development Manager from Ayala Land.
So if you're looking for something fun and free to do on the weekends, add time for movement and fitness at the Ayala Triangle every Sunday.
