(SPOT.ph) Manila is on the map for brands—be it for retail and apparel or footwear and leather goods. More and more brands and fashion houses are setting down roots in the archipelago, with the latest one being Danish designer brand GANNI. The Copenhagen-based brand finally has a home in Manila, and we got a peek at the store and pieces from their latest runway collection.

Inside GANNI's first store in the Philippines
Founded in 2000 by gallerist Frans Truelsen, GANNI's current style sensibility and form took shape under the direction of husband-and-wife duo Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup in 2009. Its roots were in wearable cashmere, and has since expanded to become the brand it is today. Known for its Scandanavian-inspired style, GANNI injects a playful twist on classic silhouettes, boasting for execution that embodies personality, confidence, and self-expression.
The contemporary fashion brand is characterized by its love of leopard print and denim-on-denim, but perhaps its most defining piece as of late are the pointed-toe buckled slingbacks. Of course, we spotted them at GANNI's first Philippines store at Power Plant Mall.
GANNI is a B-Corp brand—a company that has been certified by the non-profit organization B Lab to meet standards for social sustainability, environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As a B-Corp brand, GANNI is always striving to make better choices not just in the realm of design and style, but also in every aspect of the business. Through their Fabrics of the Future program, circular initiatives, and annual Responsibility Report, GANNI aims to deliver both style and purpose in a journey towards a more responsible future.
In line with the brand's commitment to a more responsible fashion industry, the Manila pop-up utilizes bespoke props and display items made from recycled materials like plastic waste, recycled rubber, and locally sourced recycled fabrics.

A look at GANNI pieces
Everybody has their preferences, but if you're new to the brand and don't know where to start or you're a fashion lover on the hunt for some inspiration or welcome suggestions, then we're here to share some pieces that caught our eye.
The racks are stocked with the latest from the brand, featuring their signature leopard print and silhouettes, along with edgier statement pieces that could easily belong in your closet. Bag and shoes—made from more eco-friendly Oleatex, an alternative to synthetic materials—in different prints and harware also line the pop-up's shelves.
Where to find GANNI in the Philippines
GANNI is located at the Groud Floor of Power Plant Mall. If you're getting dropped off via car, the entrance across Pancake House is the quickest way to get to the pop-up. It's in the wing with Starbucks and Rimowa, and sits next to A.P.C. Check out the store hours below.
Monday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
