SM Malls Shorten Operating Hours Due to National Energy Emergency

(SPOT.ph) SM Supermalls announced March 26 that all its malls across the Philippines will shorten operating hours starting March 30, Monday, as part of its efforts to effectively manage resources in response to the National Energy Emergency.

SM Malls shortens operating hours during National Energy Emergency
All SM Malls will open at 11 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. from Monday to Friday starting next week, March 30. This shift is a reponse to the urgent need for nationwide power conservation and aims to reduce demand on the national grid.
SM Malls will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
"SM is proactively adapting to the current situation by adjusting our operating hours. We remain committed to delivering elevated retail experiences for all Filipinos, supported by our increased use of renewable energy to power our malls," said Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls.
