(SPOT.ph) With Halloween fast approaching, how are your spooky season plans coming along? If you’re still short on things to do, kickstart your Halloween celebrations this weekend at Lunetakutan 2026. Whether you haven’t been to Rizal Park in a long time or are curious about the dark stories that have remained hidden on its historic grounds, this is your chance to see the park in a new (and eerie) light.

Here's what you need to know.

What to expect from Lunetakutan 2026: Night of the Forgotten

Happening October 23 and 24 at Rizal Park, Lunetakutan 2026 promises a weekend of Halloween thrills and after-dark adventures for the brave. With a slew of activities centered on forgotten stories and creatures of the night, the event will give attendees two nights of frightful fun.

Among the attractions to look forward to is the House of the Forgotten at Mabini Hall. Open on both days from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., details about what awaits inside remain under wraps. We’re guessing it’s the event’s take on the classic horror house, especially with its ominous warning: “Some doors should never be opened. You may enter, pero sino’ng kasama mong lalabas?”

Another activity to watch out for is Squadghouls, a nighttime tour happening on October 23. Limited to 30 guests, the tour takes participants through select areas of Rizal Park and Paco Park from 9 p.m. onwards to uncover the stories lurking behind these historic landmarks.

As of writing, registration is already closed, but there’s still hope for additional slots or another session on October 24. If you’re one of the lucky participants who received a confirmation email,
the meet-up is at the Gallery in Rizal Park, so make sure to head there before the tour begins.

Finally, the Forgotten Midway opens at the Kanlungan ng Sining on October 24 from 6 p.m. onward. Visitors are invited to try their luck and give the attraction’s games a shot and win while prizes last. Think of it as a Halloween-themed perya, where you could put your popular carnival game skills to the test.

The best news is that admission to the Lunetakutan 2026 is free, so it’s a great barkada or family bonding event for a unique Rizal Park experience. Just remember to keep your companions close, because when you’re on your own, the event cautions, “Don’t be so sure you’re alone. Because something forgotten comes back after dark.”
