(SPOT.ph) Every city has its own fascinating tapestry of history and folklore, and Quezon City is no exception. You may think you already know its popular areas by heart, but there’s a good chance that there’s still a lot left for you to discover.
Take the cozy, residential New Manila district. Beyond being home to some of Quezon City's snazziest abodes, it also has several spots with deep ties to our collective history. But how well do you really know this corner of the city?
The upcoming New Manila After Dark walking tour should fix that. With so many nighttime activities this spooky season, this is another tour you might want to add to your list. Here’s what you need to know.
What to expect from the New Manila After Dark Heritage Tour
Happening on October 31 from 2 p.m. onwards, Manilakad’s Halloween walking tour dubbed New Manila After Dark will take you through New Manila and parts of Cubao to explore a lesser-known side of Quezon City’s cultural heritage.

Although it takes place on Halloween, this tour isn’t all about ghost stories. Led by Manilakad Tours’ Jing Ordoña, known for his long walking tours that uncover fascinating bits of history hiding in plain sight, New Manila After Dark takes visitors to five historic churches, grand old mansions, and Balete Drive, made famous (or infamous) by reported White Lady sightings.
The tour starts at Devour Food Hub on E. Rodriguez Avenue, near the corner of Hemady, and ends at Cubao Cathedral by early evening. If you’re curious about the stories, urban legends, traditions, and architecture that make this Quezon City neighborhood worth exploring, this one’s for you.
How to join the New Manila After Dark Heritage Tour

You can get in touch with Jing Ordoña through his Facebook page, Viber, or WhatsApp (0960-6975930), or email address (gpo.islander@gmail.com) to secure your slot.
