Vikings Luxury-Buffet Restaurant
Bldg. B, San Miguel by The Bay, Seaside Blvd.,
SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
Tel. Nos. 846-3888, 846-4888, 846-5888
Buffet rates are P688 for weekday lunch; P888 for weekend lunch; and P888 for dinner (Monday to Sunday). Kids below 3 feet are free of charge. Kids between 3 to 4  feet will be charged P388 (for weekend lunch and dinner) or P288 (for weekday lunch).

If you're a fan of buffet spreads and value-for-money dining, Vikings Luxury-Buffet Restaurant at the SM Mall of Asia complex should be on your go-to list. Vikings has a dining space that comfortably seats up to 600 guests and is the only buffet in the city with an all-inclusive rate—drinks and beverages are part of the price. The beverage selection isn't too shabby—it includes fresh fruit juices and shakes, unlimited brewed coffee, and drink-all-you-can San Miguel draft beer. Sliced fruits are also on the beverage counter, which you can ask the servers to use for your own fruit shake concoction.

The stations offer dizzying choices, even for the seasoned buffet-hopper. Cold cuts, cheese and bread, and Thai pomelo salad and caviar are among the palate-teasers in the appetizer and salad station; there's shabu-shabu and hotpot, along with the usual dim sum, sushi and sashimi in Vikings' impressive Asian row; and hummus and Motabal in the Western and Mediterranean station. A frozen yogurt machine plus pastries and confections await diners with a sweet tooth at the dessert area.

Roast pork lechon, duck, and roast beef are also part of the spread, with sauce choices such as creamy Bearnaise and Viking's own sinful truffle sauce, which you can douse over roast beef or roast pork slices. If you're still looking for heavier dishes, there's also paella and a hearty beef stew, plus you can customize your own pizza and pasta.

Reservations are recommended if you don't want to wait for a table, the place gets easily packed by 12 noon and 7 p.m.
