(SPOT.ph) Are you an art enthusiast or looking to buy your first big art investment? Head to Art in the Park on Saturday, February 18, where familiar white tents will dot the grounds of Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati from 2 p.m. to midnight. On its 5th year, the annual art fair aims to make art more accessible by taking it out of the hushed, intimidating confines of the galleries, and bringing it to the unrestricted spaces of the outdoors.

This year, Art In The Park will have more than forty exhibitors, showcasing a treasure trove of works—paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs—from artists that range from the established, and the emerging, to the new. Participants include, among others, Tin-Aw Art Gallery, Avellana Art Gallery, Art Verite, FEATI, and TutoK.  The National Museum will also have its own space, giving its staff the opportunity to show off their own artistic talents. Works by sculptor Leeroy New and surreal pieces from acclaimed Bacolod artist Charlie Co will also be on exhibit. Secret Fresh will also be at the art fair, showcasing and selling limited-edition pieces by local artists. Want to see more art? An exhibit of Kim Atienza’s personal collection of paintings dubbed “Cabinet of Curiosities” are at the nearby 4th Floor Gallery of The Picasso, and is a satellite event of Art in the Park.

Art In The Park has also capped its prices at P30,000 to stay true to its theme of making art more accessible.
