(SPOT.ph) Once again, Kris Aquino proves that there are some sentiments that should probably be kept to yourself. Her Instagram post on Thursday (November 19) was the subject of criticism after she likened her sunburn to the stress that thousands of commuters experienced during APEC week.
For context, Kris (along with her sisters) toured the spouses of APEC leaders around Intramuros for reportedly four hours, which led to a bad case of sunburn. She captioned her post, saying, "Quits na tayo sa lahat ng nahirapan mag-commute these past days. Patas ang mundo, patche-patche naman ang balat ko."
Her joke didn't sit well with the Internet, with many taking to her comments section to call her post "insensitive," "disappointing," and "uncalled for."
The road closures in Manila for APEC week led to massive traffic and forced thousands to walk to their destinations. It also spawned a number of hashtags including #APECtado and #APECfail.
Moral of the story: Sunblock can prevent more than one kind of burn.
