Pilipinas Win na Win (PWNW) host, actor Robin Padilla proclaimed "Mahal kita" ("I love you") to his PWNW
co-host Mariel Rodriguez on ABS-CBN's E-Live (Entertainment Live) today, August 7, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.
PEP.ph reports that Mariel showed the diamond ring said to be worth P1.2 million given to her by Padilla on the show and asked him why he did so, and he said, "Napakaespesyal niyan. At naniniwala ako sa saying na 'diamonds are forever..Hindi ho ibig sabihin nito na sinagot na ako ni Mariel." ("That's very special. And I believe 'diamonds are forever...but that doesn't mean Mariel has said yes.") He teased her about why she wasn't wearing the ring, and Mariel quipped, "E, kasi hindi pa 'ko handang pag-usapan." ("Because I'm not ready to talk about it yet.") Before Robin could interject, she asked him to slip the ring on her finger, which he did, to the thrill of the studio audience. He asked her to never remove the ring from her finger, and she agreed.
PEP.ph says Padilla declared, "Ako, hindi ako nagsisinungaling. Totoo, sagutin mo ako o hindi, itago mo yung singsing. Ano mang mangyari, itago mo 'yan. Sa 'yo 'yan, hindi ako nagsinungaling sa 'yo, Mariel. Mahal kita," ("I never lie. Really, whether you say yes or not, keep the ring. It's yours, I'm not lying to you, Mariel, I love you.")
According to PEP.ph, Padilla dispelled rumors that the two were already secretly married. "Hindi ho totoo yun," ("It's not true,") he said. "Alam n'yo... pag nangyari yung sinasabing magandang kasal, hindi namin yun ililihim... At kung papayag kang pakasalan kita."("You know...when the so-called beautiful wedding happens, we won't keep it a secret...that is, if you agree to marry me,"). When asked if she'd marry him, Rodriguez was speechless and said "You're always doing the Robin Padilla thing!"
Rodriguez hosts E-Live along with Luis Manzano, Cesca Litton and Nikki Gil. Padilla was her special guest during her birthday celebration.
