Boracay is no. 1 based on what? Because it's cheaper to have a good time there perhaps. There's a water treatment drainage along the beach dividing Station 1 and 2. Despicable. It smells and you can see it draining to the sea where everyone goes to bathe.

Boracay.....much beautiful then. Do not get me wrong though, I think this is still a good thing, to be in the list but people here in spot have a point. It may help in our tourism but please do something about the island's beauty. We should not be overwhelmed by tourists and dollars and employment and economic opportunity. We must sustain the influx of tourists coming in and we must still preserve what is left of it before we get sorry for ruining such God given wonder.

great. this is like an open call to tourists, saying "come and abuse this island some more." seriously, maawa naman kayo sa boracay. ginahasa na talaga sya ng todo. it's still beautiful, but then it's got that "laspag" vibe already. too many people asking you to try helmet diving, island hopping, and whatever else. it's like they attack you with their spiels. do the island a favor and help it recover. it doesn't need to be promoted anymore than it already is. please maawa na kayo.

It's far too commercialized already.I had been there in the early 80s when it was really BACK TO NATURE, and very few had known its existence. Now,all the unsavory characters & poseurs are already there, and I don't want to go back. The best are the wild frontiers yet to be discovered in Caramoan,Misibis, Catanduanes,Masbate,Matnog,Sorsogon....

Kahit ayoko pumunta dito, good news pa rin sa akin ito kasi makakatulong sa ating turismo. Welcome po kayo!

Wala pa ring masyado spotters dito sa spot. San na si Filipina Ako? Hoy Pilipino, ilabas mo sya

Boracay doesn't look the same as when it was not yet very much frequented by tourists local and foreign. But this is a big help to boost tourism in the Philippines. We can only hope for the best, that along with the influx of tourists is the effort to keep it clean and safe.

Well, this is one of the many beautiful places in our country and indeed this helps in tourism. Umaasa din ako na gagawan ng paraan ng ating gobyerno ang pagpapanatili nitong maganda at malinis kahit maraming tao ang nagpupunta dito

Boracay as an idyllic island is long since finished. No self respecting traveller I know goes near it. Its a tacky playground for rich kids to booze, get high and get laid. The water's almost permanently tainted with green slime (fecal coliform anybody?), and the level of violence and disputes over property is a blight. If that's your definition of the 'world's best island' your certifiably insane

Santorini plummeted in the rankings and Greece's failed economy didn't help any. It's a boon for Boracay, of course. Good ole value for money, but a tad too commercialized.
