Two more dead babies found near churches in Manila

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that two dead babies were found in Manila on September 14: a fetus (around five to seven months old) discovered inside a plastic bag left near the Manila Cathedral and a newborn infant inside a garbage bag near Quiapo Church. The babies’ mothers may have aborted them, said PO3 Jay Santos of the Manila Police District Homicide Division.

The news comes after recent reports about a newborn baby abandoned in a Gulf Air plane; a dead infant found aboard the SuperFerry 19; an abandoned baby in Blumentritt, Manila; and a baby boy discovered abandoned on a road in Pangasinan.
