(SPOT.ph) A new Japanese food haunt just opened in the south, offering both modern and authentic Japanese fare, from traditional sushi and tempura to signature dishes by Japanese Executive Chef Masahiro Mizumoto. Decked out in pink and neutral colors, Kitsho calls itself more than just a food hub-it boasts a cozy bar housing an extensive line of sake, too.
Best with the iconic Japanese drink is the Sushi and Sashimi Moriawase or assorted fresh sushi and sashimi. For more seafood, try the Hotate Karashi Sumusi Gake-succulent seared scallop with miso vinegar sauce, or the Salmon Tartaryaki, perfectly grilled salmon topped with thick and tasty tartar sauce. Plus, more must-tries from the meat-packed menu: try Tori Jibuni if you like braised chicken, or the Wagyu Steak cooked teppanyaki-style to sate steak cravings.
Don’t miss out on other signature dishes like Kaibashira Butter Shoyuyaki Uni Sauce or sautéed Japanese scallop with uni sauce, Uni Tempura or Sea Urchin Tempura, Beef Tongue Misoyaki or grilled beef tongue in miso, Live Lapu Lapu, and Lobster Sashimi. Cap off your feast with the subtly sweet Kintsuba or red bean cake.
