Catch Ballet Manila's 20th Anniversary Concert on February 28 and March 1 at Aliw Theater
With special participation from its founding dancer, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde
(SPOT.ph) Pop quiz! Name a Pinay ballerina. We're 99% sure that you came up with the name of the founder of Ballet Manila, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. If so, then she has succeeded in her goal to bring ballet closer to people through her dance company. And on its 20th year, that mission still fuels them as they present BM 2.0 at Aliw Theater in Pasay on February 28 and March 1.
As a closing show for its current season and a prelude to the next, BM 2.0 highlights the strength of the company. The anniversary concert will feature excerpts from the best of Ballet Manila's performances, including the famous balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet by BM alumna Christine Rocas and co-star Rory Hohenstein, as well as the premiere of Anabelle Lopez Ochoa's Bloom.
