These free museum days will get kids excited about art
Introduce them to the likes of Malang and Arturo Luz.
(SPOT.ph) What's the best way to get kids interested in going to a museum? By making it a party! The Museum Foundation of the Philippines together with Jollibee are hosting a free Saturday museum day with Newseum, offering a fresh take on how kids can appreciate local art.
The joint project aims to cultivate a love for art in Filipino children. In participating Jollibee branches, Filipino masterpiece-themed activity sheets will be handed out at kiddie parties. Children will have the chance to learn about Filipino artists Arturo Luz, Fernando Zobel, Mauro “Malang” Santos, Peter de Guzman, and Sharry Bobadilla as kids work their way through these activity sheets. The coupon attached to a sheet can then be used for a Saturday museum visit and entitles a child and an adult to free entrance to any of the five partner museums: the Far Eastern University Manila, Ateneo Art Gallery, Ayala Museum, Lopez Museum, and the library of Museo Pambata.
Plus, every coupon claimed and filled out at the entrance of each museum serves as a raffle entry and gives each kid a chance to win a Jollibee Kids Party Gift Certificate worth P6,000.
