Ballet Philippines launches new season with Body Positive+
The first show opens on September 12.
(SPOT.ph) Ballet Philippines is back for a new season, full of hope and continuing to challenge our perception of dance. The company opens its 46th season entitled Dance Spring/Pagsibol with Body Positive+. The dance gala happens this weekend, Sept 12 and 13, and on Sept 19, 6 p.m., at the CCP Little Theatre.
Body Positive+ features excerpts from Swan Lake, William Carter’s Bach Concerto, Enrico Labayen’s Cloth, and other famous works. This festival of dance hopes to raise HIV awareness in the country by showcasing the fantastic athletic abilities of the dancer’s body in the context of the rise of HIV in the Philippines.
Tickets are priced at P1,000 each.
Discounts are offered to senior citizens, PWD, government employees, SM Global Pinoy card holders, and students aged 4 to 21 years old. For more information, visit Ballet Philippines’ official website.
