Are you doing the #Inktober Challenge?
31 drawings in 31 days
(SPOT.ph) If you’re an artist and aren’t aware of Inktober, don’t worry, we won’t judge—although you've been missing out. Inktober was started by Utah-based artist, Jake Parker, with the intention of improving his craft by making 31 drawings in the 31 days of October. It has come a long way since it began in 2009. Thousands of artists all over the world have followed Parker’s lead to take the challenge every year.
The mechanics are simple. Draw, post it with the hashtag #inktober, and repeat. You have the choice to do it daily, every other day, or once a week. Here are some drawings that have been re-posted on Inktober's IG page:
For those who want to start, this can be a healthy habit to continue even after October, especially for beginners. After all, the idea is to improve as you go along. And, as in everything else in life, to get something done, just do it. In this case, just pick up the pen and draw. Happy Inktober!
