Local furniture, fashion, art + more at the 62nd Manila FAME

It runs from October 15 to 18.

(SPOT.ph) Local craftsmanship is alive and well, and there are plenty of reasons why we should all support our own. The 62nd Manila Furnishings and Apparel Manufacturers’ Exchange (FAME), which opens on October 15 at the SMX Convention Center, is proof of the wealth of talent to be had in our shores. The bi-annual event organized by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) is a vast showcase of local products and innovation, ranging from furniture, fashion, gifts, and more.

Among the 12 sections is the Artisan Village where you can see crafts from across the country including products from Albay, Cagayan Valley, Cotabato, Davao, and Laguna. Manila FAME will also have a Light and Shadow installation which promises strong visual impact. More things to look forward to are the Neo Textiles Philippines section, Manila Wear (fashion finds!), OTOP Marketplace, and International Hall. In case you find yourself browsing over lunch, you can grab food from local entrepreneurs and chefs by Mercato.
