Constant Departures, a sophomore exhibit by Jay Torres
The exhibit runs from October 24 to November 3.
(SPOT.ph) Oftentimes, the act of leaving suggests a feeling of loneliness as it signifies the end of something good, or it may be perceived as embarking on a new pursuit. Whether it’s a change in geography or a decision to divert oneself from personal relationships, it is an inevitable facet of our daily lives. Constant Departures, a solo exhibit by Jay Torres, showcases different personal spaces presented by the artist. The opening reception is on October 24, 6 p.m. at Art Underground. Take a peek into different gateways and immerse on the uniqueness of each oil on canvas masterpiece.
In his sophomore exhibit, Torres used warm and inviting hues with accents of neons to portray images that may seem intentionally left open for viewers to visit—and leave. Browsing from frame to frame is also a metaphor of moving from one goal to another.
The exhibit runs until November 3 at Art Underground. Art Underground is at 814 Balagtas Street, Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City (firstname.lastname@example.org or 721-0745). For more information, visit Art Underground's Facebook page.
