#METamorphosis: Volunteer registration is now open for the Met's clean-up drive
Be part of this historic restoration!
(SPOT.ph) Years of neglect have left the Manila Metropolitan Theater in shambles. Now it gets a new lease on life, thanks to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The group has organized METamorphosis, a project that aims to restore the theater to its old grandeur, starting with a clean-up drive that was held on December 12, 2015. Student volunteers from different universities around the Metro participated in scrubbing the structure’s facade. The second leg was held on January 16 and the next session of the bi-weekly clean-up drive will be on January 30.
Volunteers at the January 16 clean-up
Aside from the clean-up volunteers, there were also urban sketchers who joined in on the fun!
Because of the limited number of volunteers that the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) can accommodate, they will select volunteers through an electric draw. You can register using this Google form.
