This Exhibit Will Remind You of a True Filipino Christmas

Catch it at Greenbelt 5.

"Essense of Christmas I" by Jun Impas

(SPOT.ph) Christmas in the Philippines has its signature traditions—puto bumbong after Simbang Gabi, a big Noche Buena with the family at midnight, aginaldo for the inaanak, and more. Realist painter Jun Impas reminds us of these rich and colorful ways of how Filipinos celebrate the holidays through a solo show at Altro Mondo in Makati City.

"Himig ng Pasko" by Jun Impas

Titled Pasko Noon at Ngayon, his collection of new works stems from his fondness for the festive season. It's made even more interesting through his rendition of cultural differences from the past to the present. These two timelines prove how Christmas is reflective of how we changed as a nation, both for better and worse.

Pasko Noon at Ngayon runs until January 7, 2018 at Altro Mondo, 3/F Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City. For more information, visit Altro Mondo's website.
