(SPOT.ph) As kids, most of us wished to open boxes of toys, dolls, and games on Christmas Eve. We sat around the Christmas tree with our cousins, and waited patiently for midnight so we can unwrap our presents. Fast forward to now, winning a rice cooker or a coffee maker during the raffle at the office Christmas party seems to be the best thing ever. Then, there's the Christmas wish list that we sometimes indulge ourselves with—and Salcedo Auctions hopes to make our wishes come true through an auction series: Under the Tree: The Wish List by Salcedo Auctions and Under the Tree: The Holiday Sale by its subsidiary brand Gavel and Block. These events are happening on November 23 at NEX Tower in Makati City and November 30 at The Podium in Pasig City, respectively.
The Wish List brings the season's best collection under the block. You can choose from masterpieces by Benedicto Cabrera, Vicente Manansala, Napoleon Abueva, Arturo Luz, Juvenal Sanso, Mauro Malang Santos, and other respected Filipino artists. Rare furniture and antique pieces are also up for grabs.
The Holiday Sale, on the other hand, brings a more diverse lineup of equally breathtaking works of art. These include paintings from Emmanuel Garibay, prints by Cesar Legaspi, and even historic memorabilia. The latter is happening at The Podium, making it more accessible to mallgoers.
