Art in the Park Style: Flimsy Tops, Bare Midriffs, Lots of Shorts
The fair is always the first glimpse at how summer dressing will look like.
(SPOT.ph) The best garments for summer may have been seen at the Bench Body of Work show last weekend—but good luck wearing those while in a real life situation, like buying paintings at Art in the Park. The latest edition of the annual Jaime Velasquez Park happening—where people can cop artworks priced at no higher than P50,000–gave us a peek at what we might be seeing more of in the coming months of hot weather in the city: tank tops, flimsy fabrics, hats, gym wear, and all manner of efforts at letting our skin breathe (so definitely add lots of shorts to that list, too).
Here are the summer looks we spotted at the open air event last Sunday where, as opposed to the Art Fair where people like to complain that everything’s been already bought, most visitors happily made their way out holding a purchase.
