#LoveWins with Ampalaya Monologues this weekend

Celebrate all kinds of love (and loss) through spoken word.

(SPOT.ph) In celebration of Pride Month, Ampalaya Monologues will have an LGBTQIA+-themed show with the hashtag #LoveWins on June 19, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m, at O-Bar in Ortigas, Pasig City. Inspired by the play Vagina Monologues, this episode's Ampalaya Monologues will feature short soliloquies that will tackle different issues that the community and its allies are facing.

Ampalaya Monologues staged various shows in the past such as the Halloween-themed #OneMoreTime, Christmas-themed #SingleBells, and an anti-Valentine's Day Show called #AmpalayaDay. Their June installment is special as it revolves around all kinds of love (and loss) and will definitely tug at your heartstrings, whatever kind of love you're looking for.

LGBTQIA+ Community and Allies

Ampalaya Monologues #LoveWins will serve as a venue to send the message of awareness, hope, and inspiration the LGBTQIA+ community, its supporters, and even non-supporters.

Poets, writers, and spoken word enthusiasts

As in the previous shows, #LoveWins will feature spoken word artists from the best spoken word groups in the country such as Word Anonymous, KM64, and White Wall Poetry. There will also be an open mic session.

Fans of hugot-related events

Express your bitter (and ampalaya) feelings through Ampalaya Monologues. Most of their attendees are college students and young professionals who are fond of watching shows related to love and heartbreak.

Supporters of Philippine independent theater scene

Ampalaya Monologues is headlined by the group Theater in Alternative Forms. It is a one-of-a-kind theater experience.

Ampalaya Monologues is happening on June 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at O Bar, Ortigas Home Depot, Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas, Pasig City. Tickets are priced at P300. For more information, visit Ampalaya Monologues' event page.
