(SPOT.ph) Tony Award-winning Hamilton is set to open its West End production in November 2017 at the Victoria Palace Theater in London. Unfortunately, it looks like an Asian tour is far from happening at the moment and Filipinos can only wait and see. Well, why not bring a Filipino to the West End for now?

In a report by Broadway.com, it is revealed that our very own Rachelle Ann Go has been chosen to star as Elizabeth Hamilton, wife of America's founding father Alexander. This was also confirmed by entertainment columnist Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail. The title role has yet to be cast.

Go previously appeared in the West End revival of Miss Saigon where she took on the role of Gigi Van Tranh, and in the West End and Manila productions of Les Misérables where she was cast as Fantine. She rose to fame in the local entertainment scene when she emerged as the winner of reality talent show Search for a Star in 2004.
