(SPOT.ph) The Little Prince Musical, which premiered in Manila in September 2017, started out as a passion project for playwright Lesley Leveriza-Lina and composer Pipo Lina (yes, they're husband and wife). It was a mini-musical adaptation of the well-loved children's book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery published in 1943. Not surprisingly, kids and kids-at-heart fell in love with the musical's original songs. The musical has since been staged in schools and commercial centers around the Metro, and a musical concert was organized just in time for Christmas 2017. Now, you can bring a piece of The Little Prince Musical with you wherever you go through a newly recorded soundtrack available through Spotify.
The album includes songs that weren't in the initial staging, but were added during the show's rerun in July. It also features new remixes of audience favorites such as "Starlight," "Surely (A Love Song for A Rose)," and "What Is Essential." Play the tunes again and again to remind you of The Little Prince's most important lesson: "It is only in the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye."
