Where to Get Free Tickets to the Manila International Book Fair 2023
You don't have to pay the 35-peso admission fee.
(SPOT.ph) It's that time of the year! Book lovers, publishers, readers, and writers come together for the much-awaited Manila International Book Fair 2023 from September 14 to 17 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. Books (metaphorically) fly out of the shelves and are added (literally) to carts. The best thing about it? Admission is free—at least if you're able to prepare for it.
The Manila International Book Fair 2023 has an admission fee of P35 with a 10-peso discount for children, senior citizens, members of the academe, school teachers, and librarians. This fee is waived, however, if you were able to register online through their official portal ahead of the deadline (September 8). Another option is to get free tickets through book publishers and bookstores.

The Indie Publishers Collab PH
The Indie Publishers Collab PH is a community of independent book publishers that are launching over 30 new titles at the MIBF. It features self-published authors as well as indie presses, such as Librong LIRA, San Anselmo Publications, Isang Balangay Productions, Gantala Press, and more. Download a copy of free tickets through their Facebook page and print it.
Fully Booked
Head to any Fully Booked branch's counter or customer service desk and ask for an MIBF ticket. One ticket, which doubles as a bookmark, admits two people.
Anvil Publishing
Anvil Publishing has been around since the '90s; and as one of the biggest book publishers in the country, they're a regular exhibitor at the MIBF. You can also get free tickets through their page. Scan the QR code, which leads to a Google Drive; download the file; and print your ticket.
8Letters
A boutique bookstore with curated Filipino readers, 8Letters also gives away free MIBF tickets through a Canva link.
Avenida Books
Avenida Books is an independent Filipino publisher that features works by Manix Abrera, Eros Atalia, and more. Download and print their tickets through a Facebook page or Google Drive.
Technological University of the Philippines
If you're a Technological University of the Philippines student, visit your University Library and approach the staff. Free tickets from several publishers are available at their desks.
Many more publishers are offering free tickets to MIBF 2023. Just go to your favorite publisher's Facebook page, and there's probably a link to a printable pass.
