(SPOT.ph) Art lovers, enthusiasts, and collectors, the most wonderful season is just a few months away—art fair season.
Art Fair Philippines just announced the dates for its 2025 run. It happens from February 21 to 23 in a new spot: Makati's Ayala Triangle Gardens. Yup, you read that right. On its 12th edition, Art Fair Philippines bids goodbye to the parking lot that it's called its address for the past so many years: Makati's The Link. So goodbye multi-level parking lot, hello open-air Ayala Triangle Gardens.
Art Fair Philippines 2025 moves to the Ayala Triangle Gardens
Not much is known about the rest of the Art Fair Philippines 2025 programming at the moment, but one thing is for sure: It's going to be a celebration of modern and contemporary Philippine visual art. Many of the country's top galleries, artists, and collectors will display the best works in their arsenal to highlight today's vibrant Philippine art scene.
Although Art Fair Philippines has been held at The Link for most of its 11-year run, this isn't the first time the fair has left the indoor space. As with everything else, the COVID-19 pandemic saw the fair shift completely online. But in 2022, as pandemic restrictions were slowly lifted, Art Fair Philippines was held as a hybrid event. Major displays and special exhibitions were displayed throughout the gardens, and other smaller pieces were viewable through the website. Whether a hybrid event is to be expected again this year or if it will be a fully outdoor exhibition is still up in the air, as of writing.
Art Fair Philippines started in 2013 as a platform for exhibiting and selling the best in modern and contemporary Philippine visual art. Today, the fair continues to be an avenue to make art accessible to enthusiasts, local and otherwise, who want to discover and expand their appreciation for one of Southeast Asia's most up-and-coming art landscapes.
