(SPOT.ph) In this age of "fake news," misinformation through social media, and revisionism, museums and history books are our only respite. Museo Filipino, a new museum in Intramuros that opened in December 2019, hopes to give a glimpse of Philippine history in just 30 minutes. It is, in no way, meant to replace the curiosity to dig deep on what really happened to our society in the past; but more of an opportunity to jumpstart into the rabbit hole of researching about our lesser-known heroes, pre-colonial stories, and modern-day battles.Â
Here's a clip of what to expect when you get to Museo Filipino:
Museo Filipino is at 6/F JS Contractor Building, 423 Magallanes Street, Intramuros, Manila City. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fee is at P100 for regular guests and P80 for students. For more information, follow Museo Filipino on Facebook.
