Which of the new froyo places are worth a try? SPOT.ph charted your addiction just in time to help you beat the Manila heat.

We updated last year’s list!  �With all the frozen yogurt places still popping up around the city, we decided to take on the difficult job of trying as many as we could and giving you the lowdown. It was tough, but someone had to do it.

Service rating system:
1 � might as well be self-service
2 � they can’t be bothered
3 � not bad but not very good
4 � painless and pleasant
5 � you’ll feel like a VIP

Sourness index:
small_sour � just a hint of tanginess

California Berry (Silver City Mall, SM Megamall)

Price range: P60 to P115

Not California. Though their logo is a dead ringer for Pink Berry’s, California Berry is homegrown. 4 20, prices start at P15. New flavors are introduced seasonally; for Summer 2010 they have Blueberry. small_sour
FYI (Il Terrazzo, Tomas Morato)

Price range: P80 to P110

FYI, or Frozen Yogurt Indulgence, is another product from a brand that likes acronyms: Fruits in Ice Cream (FIC). 1 � The server looked bored and uninterested in being there. 35, prices range from P15 to P25 small_sour
I Love Berries (Mall of Asia)

Price range: P65 to P100 (plain), P110 to P140 (combo)

Starting out as a bazaar/tiangge regular, I Love Berries recently opened its first store in MoA. 3 20. Very generous with toppings small_sour
Lulubelle (Power Plant Mall)

Price range: P80 to P120

This bright and cheery pink-and-white confection of a store is also by FIC or Fruits in Ice Cream. 4 24, P15 to P30 for a generous serving small_sour
Yogurbud (The Podium)

Price range: P90 (one size only)

Yogurbud is Filipino made and on a self-declared mission to encourage the Filipino market to have "a healthier lifestyle." 4 10, prices range from P15 to P30 small_sour
Yoh-gurt Froz (Robinsons Manila, Greenbelt 5, Promenade, Bonifacio High Street)

Price range: P80 to P110

Completely local, despite the foreign-sounding name. 3 � you have to line up twice; servers aren’t attentive 31, P40 for three toppings (which sucks if you only want one kind) small_sour
Yoswirls (Shangri-La Plaza)

Price range: P75 (one size only)

Owned by the Philippines’ frozen yogurt veteran, BTIC (Better Than Ice Cream). 4 � very nice and enthusiastic 15, P25 for a generous serving small_sour
Red Mango (Trinoma, Megamall, Eastwood Mall)

Price range: P80 to P225 (family size)

They’ve also got stores in the US, but it’s actually franchised from South Korea. 5 � very fast and efficient, plus they won’t serve you mediocre-quality yogurt. Best overall froyo experience. 22, prices range from P20 to P40 small_sour
White Hat (SM North EDSA Annex, Rustans Makati, Robinsons Place Manila)

Price range: P85 to P115 (plain), P120 to P150 (combo)

The brand is local, but the yogurt is from Italy. 5 � quick, efficient, pleasant 21, P35 for two toppings small_sour
Tutti Frutti (SM Megamall)

Price range: P20 per ounce, but cups come in small, medium, and large sizes

They have stores in the US, Brazil, Vietnam, Taiwan, and more. 4 � helpful and pleasant. They have several different flavors (Banana, Taro-bly Delicious, Death by Chocolate) which change every few weeks. Our favorite: Pomegranate. 24 (Self-serve, so be careful about piling on too much or you might end up paying more than you thought you would.) small_sour
Golden Spoon (Shangri-La Plaza)

Price range: 85 (mini) to 220 (large); 499 for a quart. Cones: 125 (plain); 175 (waffle)

Southern California 3 30 at P20 each. Yogurt flavors include: Old-fashioned Vanilla, Classic Coffee, Island Coconut, Simply Tart, Cake Batter Nil. This frozen yogurt doesn’t taste like yogurt at all. Ice cream lovers like the taste, though.
Qoola (Greenbelt 2)

Price range: P75 per 100 grams

Vancouver 5 � helpful and accommodating. They usually have four flavors that are changed regularly: Original, Green Tea, Strawberry, Kiwi 25 (self-serve) Almost none.
