40 Vegetarian-Friendly Places in Manila
Don't know where to go when you're dining with vegetarians? PETA lists Manila's "greenest" spots.
When it comes to eating out with vegetarians, you can eat healthy without going the all-out vegan route (no chicken, meat or fish). Jason Baker, Director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) says, "More and more restaurants are offering meals that are lower in fat and cholesterol and higher in fiber and other nutrients-and vegetarian foods are fitting that bill. The food industry is keenly aware of the growing number of vegetarians and even of non-vegetarians who are looking to cut down on their meat intake-and they know that vegetarians want more than just salads and steamed vegetables."
Aside from the growing number of vegetarian places that dot the city, PETA put their stamp of approval on this list of vegetarian-friendly places plus cozy vegan spots in Manila:
