(SPOT.ph) They say too much of one thing is bad, but so long as there are people willing to enjoy good grub, you can never have too much, well, good food. Such is the case with the seemingly mushrooming weekend market industry. Just last week, RJ Ledesma and his team-the group responsible for Mercato Centrale, Soderno, and Mezza Norte-opened Manda Centrale, this time in Greenfield District, strategically tangent to the corporate and commercial areas of Mandaluyong and Pasig.
Bringing together a medley of the familiar and foreign, Manda Centrale once again plays host to market favorites like Edgy’s Food Trip and Drinks, Carlo’s Kitchen, Chef Resty’s, Piper’s Pan Cakes, as well as new stalls from Moshi Moshi, Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza, B. Wings Buffalo Chicken, and Let’s Salsa. Like its predecessors, Manda Centrale also features live acoustic performances and monthly bazaars.
"We are on the lookout for up-and-coming food entrepreneurs who live in the area, and we want to give them an opportunity to shine in the market," said Ledesma, adding that Manda Centrale is open for nearby student entrepreneurs and home cooks.
While Greenfield may not be as bustling as Bonifacio Global City or Ayala Technohub, this new market may soon rev things up.
