(SPOT.ph) Italianni’s is the latest to surf the wave of established restaurants trying out the breakfast trend. As a step towards revamping their breakfast menu, the restaurant has put together a selection of puff pastries and omelettes. The free cup of coffee for every main is an added perk-me-up to any morning.
Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese
The puff pastries are perfectly made-light and flaky, and designed to go well with all the indulgent sides of eggs, sauces, and toast. There are four toppings to choose from, but the Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese (P395) is the must-try. The dill cream cheese gives this breakfast staple an extra kick. With a forkful of puff pastry, you’ll be wiping your plate clean of the hollandaise sauce, poached egg, and cream cheese.
Chicken Caesar (P325)
Pancetta & Sundried Tomato (P325)
While the servings may appear modest, these dishes are piled with enough protein, nutrients, and flavor to get your day going. Even the humble-looking Prosciutto & Dill Potatoes (P325) pack a good punch thanks to the cherry tomatoes and the premium prosciutto.
Prosciutto & Dill Potatoes
The menu’s new omelettes dare to get creative. There are the classics, like the Shiitake Mushroom and Bacon (P295) , a light omelette of smoked bacon, shiitake mushrooms and mozzarella cheese, and the Smoked Salmon (P325)-though we prefer the puff pastry counterpart. The Italianni’s Sausage & Chorizo (P325) stuffed with Bolognaise, Italian sausage, and chorizo is a stand-out dish and has a hearty and slightly spicy mix of flavors that will instantly wake you up.
Avocado Pesto (P295)
Who would have thought squid ink omelette could be so tasty? The presentation is enough to pique anyone’s curiosity-cream dory and calamari peeking out of a black envelope of eggs with a side of French toast. The Black Seafood (P325) is an offbeat undertaking in breakfast food that pays off. And yes, it goes extremely well with the French toast, which is brilliant on its own-just the right amount of crunch on the outside and chewiness on the inside.
Italianni’s Sausage & Chorizo
These nine new dishes are just the latest addition to the extensive breakfast menu at Italianni’s, which is made up of some 40 international and Filipino fare. These gourmet creations by chef Josh Boutwood will be available starting May 19.
Italianni’s serves breakfast daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; the new breakfast menu is available only the Bonifacio High Street and Greenbelt 2 branches. Prices to follow.
