(SPOT.ph) Sometimes you just want to look for something that hits the spot-that spot being your stomach-on a cold, gloomy day. Imagine hearty, Southwestern-style dishes to warm up a rain-drenched workweek... In Manila, the easiest place to get that would be your nearest Chili’s. The world-famous restaurant has exciting additions to their already satisfying menu of comfort food to get your tastebuds tingling.

Fried Quesadilla Bites

A basket (or two) of the Fried Quesadilla Bites (P375) with a couple of drinks is perfect for those after-office hang-outs. These golden flour tortilla nibblers are stuffed with Southwest chicken and sprinkled with chopped cilantro. The chipotle sour cream gives each bite an extra heat, but the gooey cheese will quickly calm your tastebuds.

Bacon & Cheddar Steak

Parmesan Chicken

Who doesn’t love steak? Who doesn’t love bacon? Chili’s pairs them together for meat-lovers with their Bacon & Cheddar Steak (P875). This seasoned sirloin steak is generously covered in melted cheddar cheese and topped with bacon. Meanwhile, flavor and texture come together with the Parmesan Chicken (P395) or Parmesan Tilapia (P425). A slice of imported fish fillet or chicken breast is crusted with Parmesan and Monterey Jack cheese and the drizzle of chili butter and sprinkle of spring onions give it that extra Southwestern taste. All three dishes come with your choice of sides, but we recommend mashed potatoes and veggies for the steak and cilantro rice for the chicken and fish.

Sparkling Soda

Banana Bread Pudding

Take a few breaks in between each indulging bite with refreshing sips from Chili’s new Sparkling Soda (P125). This fruity and refreshing concoction of strawberry puree and soda is a certified thirst-quencher. But make sure to leave room for dessert with the Banana Bread Pudding (P295). Chopped walnuts, caramel drizzle, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream sit on top a thick, warm slice of banana bread and each spoonful is a comforting, decadent treat.
