(SPOT.ph) Those chocolate digestive cookies. Those sweet dessert wines. Those pantry staples. Marks & Spencer (M&S), for most Filipinos, has always been something of a go-to for essentials-from casual clothes and sportswear to quick gifts. Enter M&S Food, the brand’s first-ever standalone food store, to prove that wrong.
Sure, M&S has always sold a variety of grocery items ranging from cereals and frozen meals to chocolates and mints, but this is the first one in the country that sells just the food and nothing else. This newly opened shop in Central Square also has a bakery (similar to the one in Eastwood branch that opened in 2011) and a cafe for weary 4DX-cinemagoers.
The cafe where customers can sit down and enjoy their food.
Fast pastries to enjoy
As part of M&S’s strategy to expand its food business worldwide, the company chose Manila to be one of the select few locations with M&S Food. Over 10 stores exist internationally, including branches in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Hong Kong, and Malta.
Here are some fun finds worth trying:
Bramley Apple Pie (P465)
Indian Starter Selection (P400)
Percy Pig candies (P150)
Full On Flavour Crisps (P155 each)
Lamb Rogan Josh (P640)
Butterscotch drops (P70)
