(SPOT.ph) Peanut butter in your burger. That got your attention, didn’t it? This revered all-around favorite is one of the many specialty toppings you can add to your burger at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers to make it, yes, bigger and ultimately better. This Hawaiian burger joint is now saying aloha on Manila soil and burger lovers have every reason to celebrate.
Teddy's co-founders Ted Tsakiris and Rich Stula believe that the cornerstone of any great burger is the patty and at Teddy's, theirs are made from 100% corn-fed U.S. Black Angus ground chuck. All burger patties are hand-formed daily, with Ted and Rich's special seasoning, and then always charbroiled to order. For each patty, 80% lean meat and 20% fat is used which, according to the owners, is the perfect formula for an intensely juicy burger.
What is a burger that’s not a burger?
Teddy's also boasts larger-than-average burgers starting with five-ounce (P265), seven-ounce (P325), and nine-ounce (P395) original single burgers. Their Monster Doubles are a bigger challenge with 10-ounce (P440), 14-ounce (545), and 18-ounce (P660) meaty double patty goodness. Another notable mention from Teddy's list of original burgers is the Teri Burger (P300/5oz; P360/7oz; P430/9oz). Its patty is basted with a made-from-scratch sweet teriyaki sauce.

Customizing your burger is one of the things that makes Teddy's s different, and choosing from a potato bun, wheat bun, and lettuce wrap is only the beginning. You can try a Waikiki Burger (add P160) which has teriyaki sauce, spuds, cheddar cheese, and bacon; a Cajun Burger (add P50) which has Cajun seasoning and pepperjack cheese; a Hawaiian Style Burger (add P70) which has teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple; or a Kailua Burger (add P150) which has teriyaki sauce, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and Swiss cheese.
Go crazy on toppings and sides, and feel free to experiment-whether you want pastrami, bacon, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, teri sauce, peanut butter, and tons more. Still hungry? Throw in a super thick milkshake (we tried a ridiculously addicting peanut butter-chocolate-coffee malted milk version) that's 90% ice cream and 10% milk. They also have extra crispy fries (with cheese and garlic!), tater tots, and beer-battered onion rings.
Whatever burger route you choose to take, there's bound to be something to satisfy your carnivorous craving. So go ahead-indulge. Get that ginormous 18-ouncer. We won't judge.
