(SPOT.ph) Remember that old Rob Scheider movie, Hot Chick? Rachel McAdams’ character, Jessica, was so attractive, she never had to pay for anything.
This situation is kind of like that. But also a little like a beauty contest. At a Zhengzhou hot pot restaurant, willing customers are subjected to a face scanner, which, according to Shanghaiist.com, sends a photo of one’s face to "a council of employees from a plastic surgery clinic."
The top five hottest customers every 30 minutes get their food on the house. The voluntary judgment, of course, is all for the love of a free meal.
China news site Xinhua.net, as quoted by Shanghaiist, reported that the results are publicly displayed on the second floor of the restaurant.
In other bizarre news, several restaurants in China offer free meals to customers depending on a range of requirements, from weight to height.
