Craft beer in USA smells like pot
In a way, it’s the best of both worlds.
(SPOT.ph) Oskar Blues, a craft beer company in the U.S. famous for making references to smoking weed on their packaging, has taken it one step further with a new marijuana-smelling brew that The Cannabist says will "hit you right in the face, as soon as you smell the beer."
Oskar Blue’s Pinner is a dry-hopped IPA with 4.9% ABV-a relatively low alcohol drink named after a joint that’s low in marijuana content. According to The Cannabist report, the idea behind the heady scent came from the owners’ desire to create a UPA that had a great deal of aroma. "Reminiscent of a lot of our other hoppy beers and aromas but that's also sessionable, with the lower alcohol so you could have more than one or two," said Dale Katechis.
Pinner is currently available only in Colorado and North Carolina, but will soon be available in all 41 states where it is legal by March 1. As for the Philippines, well, it might take a long time until this brew arrives on our shores.
