KFC’s Double Down Dogs are here to stay
This fast-food chain is toying with our affections.
(SPOT.ph) KFC first unleashed the Double Down Dog in January, as a two-day limited-edition piece of work that had everybody panic-hunting at the mere 11 branches where it was available and panic-buying because only 50 were going to be given out each day. The product of all that effort and excitement has resulted in this "protein-rich" sandwich’s integration into the menu.
The Double Down without makeup
The Double Down Dog is the latest in KFC’s Double Down series which is seemingly on a mission to replace bread with fried chicken. The "bun" is a large cupped slab of Original Recipe fillet sandwiching a Purefoods Tender Juicy Chick ’n’ Cheese hotdog that’s further grazed with more honey mustard dressing and relish on top.
According to KFC, the Double Down Dog is still not a permanent fixture on the menu, but it will be available in the meantime and in branches nationwide.
