This award-winning ramen joint is setting up in a new city.
Ramen Nagi’s first branch in SM Aura
(SPOT.ph) Tokyo’s Ramen Nagi (known in Hong Kong as Butao) opened in the Philippines in December 2013. Its space at SM Aura’s Sky Park was perenially full with a waiting area that’s even more packed with people. A little over a year and the addition of five other branches later didn’t diminish its popularity. A seventh outlet in Podium is actually set to open in April 2015.
The notorious Black King
Ramen Nagi is an award-winning ramen chain (winning Ramen of the Year in 2011 and 2012) founded by Chef Ikuta Satoshi. From its humble origins in Shinjuku, the franchise has become one of the most successful in the world. The chef’s formula is simple: four already delicious basic flavors (Black King, Butao King, Green King, and Red King) that customers can alter to their liking. Plus a seasonal fifth that feature ramen topped with foie gras, shrimp, or truffle.
